Mooring for FM-1

Privacy policy

Mooring Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy covers the Mooring app and this website, mooring.42fu.com.

The Mooring app

The Mooring app does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Network connections

Mooring connects to the internet only when you check for or download firmware:

These requests carry no account, cookie or personal identifier. Like any app's web requests, they name the app and its version, and they reveal your IP address to the server you download from; GitHub's and M-VAVE's own privacy policies apply to those servers.

Your synthesizer

Mooring talks to the FM-1 only over a USB cable, using MIDI. It reads the device's version and sends the firmware you choose. Nothing is sent from the FM-1 to anyone else.

This website

This website counts visits with Umami, an analytics tool the site's owner runs on their own server (stats.x.42fu.com). No third party receives the data. Umami sets no cookies and does not follow you across other websites.

For each page view it records the page address, the page you came from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and your country, which is worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored. It is combined with your browser details and a value that changes regularly to make a visit ID. The ID lets the site count visits; it is not linked to your name or to any account, and it can't be turned back into your IP address.

Visit statistics are kept on the owner's server and deleted after 36 months.

If you block JavaScript or use a content blocker, your visits are not counted, and the site works the same.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children. The website's visit statistics do not identify anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
